Who am I to say, I can create.
Who am I to think, I can form. Who am I to do what no other human has done. He created us in His image. He formed us from the dust. He commanded we do what He does. They say, you play God. They say, only He can mold. Yet, I follow that curiosity. We are created to discover. We are created to find. We are created to wonder. We are created like Him. Each atom, molecule, and bond Complex in its incomprehensible simplicity. One hydrogen pulled from here and there To form water, double bonds, and more. Trillions of reactions every day. Metabolism, neuron pathways, photosynthesis, Everything we see another product of the microscopic Symphonies, ballets, and grandeur of God’s hand. We are fearfully and wonderfully made. We are hosts of this beautiful universe. We are temporary. To ask the Almighty the questions of this earth, How can everything possibly work so perfectly? How could you design something so magnificently majestic? What else is out there that we have no ideas about? Let me peek further into the depths of this Creation. Let me find more about your consuming creativity. Let me wonder Let me seek Let me praise you |
Kaylee Joy Hill is a recent graduate from Westmont College in Santa Barbara, California. She graduated with a degree in Biochemistry, and her research for Dr. Amanda Silberstein doing synthetic organic chemistry is what inspired this piece. The light was shining through the blinds during a spring sunset, the glassware gleamed and refracted the light into the dust particles around the well-loved laboratory. God synthesizes all, including special moments studying His creation.
