God and Nature 2026 #1
By Jessica Renee Dawson
There are scientific reasons I believe in God
with myelin sheaths protecting neurons’ charge
and DNA with code with such complexities
no computer programmer could write them
with myelin sheaths protecting neurons’ charge
we seek to grasp enigmas on the cellular level
while no computer programmer could write them
they delve into mysteries always out of reach
we seek to grasp enigmas on the cellular level
as scientists and theologians look into origins
they delve into mysteries always out of reach
while I see reflections of God in your eyes
scientists and theologians look into origins
as I embrace the supernatural in your smile
and see reflections of God in your eyes
the intonations of your voice draw me in
as I embrace the supernatural in your smile
a song of beautiful loneliness washes over me
and the intonations of your voice draw me in
elation in my body lifts to heavenly places
a song of beautiful loneliness washes over me
as I am taken into the luxury of critical analysis
elation in my body lifts me to heavenly places
where the knowledge of creation speaks
I am taken into the luxury of critical analysis
and DNA with code with such complexities
where the knowledge of creation speaks
. . . the scientific reasons I believe in God
